This is a thin little kitchen knife that I made from 52100 high carbon steel. I heat treated using 5 cycles in a digitally controlled furnace emphasizing a fine grain structure throughout the blade. Proper heat treating is essential in making any knife but especially in one this thin. There is enough flex in the tip to filet an anchovy if you wish 
The handle is stabilized and dyed spalted maple that has a subtle curl. Overall length is 9 1/4 inches with a 4 1/2 inch blade; thickness at the forefinger is about 1/8 inch tapering to the tip.
