I bought a Petrified Fish PFP14 Lis from knifecenter for $50 including tax and shipping. It has a button lock and 3.8 inch coated blade in 10Cr15coMoV steel with black G 10 scales. The scales have full milled out steel liners with a reversible wire pocket clip, Backspacer, and a lanyard hole.
The action is good on the knife however it does run on washers rather than bearings. The company gives you an extra set of washers for your use. No blade play up down left or right. There was a little bit of lock stick when I first got the knife, but it is abated.
The knife is described as a trailing point. But it looks more like a straight point to me. That doesn’t bother me. I just think it’s mislabeled. It has good jimping on the spine. And it has a full feeling in hand. It came out of the box razor sharp. I don’t know much about the steel. I’m afraid to say it’s one I’m not familiar with.
It’s a little large for me for every day carry. But I could see myself taking it on field trips, camping, or the odd job around the house. All in all a nice knife for the money. But when you don’t hear very much about. I couldn’t find a single review on YouTube maybe because it’s so new. Or perhaps in the shadow of its big brother the viper
