Someone else posted those pics of the same scales on the other thread and it seems like in pictures, black and green micarta just look grey.

They are unbuffed. I'm not a fan of the buffed ones, because if you use them, they will eventually become unbuffed from use.

I got out and made my DEK my own today. Sliced, shaved, batoned, bored and stabbed with this knife to get a feel for it. The burlap is absolutely gorgeous. I'd have to say that it even gives the antique micarta a run for its money for me. I put the first blemishes on this knife, and it felt good to do so! CPK, yall have a magnificent knife here IMO.

Now I just gotta make a leather sheath and cut myself to make it mine. I was using a swamprat RMD but I just felt it was a little too clunky for how I use a belt knife. This guy is real comfy in the hand.
