A pic of the fire I made with it, used the firesteel that came with my Hudson. Those thumb ramp groves throw some great spark! That fire was lit lickidy split!

Last pic is after I cord wrapped it, makes it a bit more comfortable in the hand.

It was a great fall weekend for some trail maintenance in the Blue Mountains. For this outing, I brought my JK ACEK and my trusty lab, Ruby.

A classic fall sky:

Here's my ACEK. It has become my favourite outdoors blade. My other knives are starting to get jealous.

All the best,

That is some nice looking area John! I see the signs of Fall just around the corner! Thanks for the photos!

Introducing a new member to my JK family, the Scout Jr in Orange G10, you might want to put your sunglasses on:D It's a great all around camp/utility knife and I told John that it feels and looks like a modified and more modern Kephart blade. Great job as usual by John:thumbup:

At the request of a fellow member who is interested in this fine knife I'm posting a few pics for him, mainly of the handle. He asked about weight as well so I busted out my kitchen scale and it weighed in at 14.5 oz. This is a great camp chopper and utility blade and I highly recommend one of these from John:thumbup::thumbup:

That`s the only HB with contoured handles, usually I do them like my Kepharts.

Thanks for pointing that out John, I forgot that I had you change the handle. I am very happy with the contoured handle, for me the larger knob on the end makes it feel a bit more secure in my handle and easier to grip and chop.

The old one 3/16" ironwood/yellow spacers, new one 1/8" blk micarta/red spacers.

Splitting some wood in the first picture.

And in the deer woods in the second.

The knife was fantastic for both! It's really been earning its keep this fall!

I took a short hike down by the river this afternoon, had a nice little fire and got this glamour shot of my latest JK... the EDC Kephart. Nice little knife!

Georgia Moonshine production site.

Explored the Paulding Forest, temps mid 30's- low 40's. The area now has armadillos. Saw one today but it did not stick around for pictures.Saw a couple a yesterday but no camera then.

I headed out to a local forest on Saturday and did a bit of hiking and had a little fire. I took a bunch of shots but there were the only decent ones I got with my Blackberry. I can't say enough good things about my Kephart and Knatchet though.
