Nice knife! you have had this a while but is in great shape. The PVD coating is holding up nicely. Don't you agree though the ergo's are awesome? for me this knife is like driving a Mercedes , comfortable and smoooooth :cool:

Nice looking knife. How does the edge hold up on the niolox blades? @Ramzar or Anyone who has put theirs to work if you have any experience?
thanks

Hi dogrunner - I did touch briefly on the Niolox Steel issue in another post. Niolox is not that well known , or lets say many have not had any experience with the steel. I personally use a Mike One Tactical as EDC and use it hard. The edge holds really well, this is in my experience of course, I would also be interested to hear from others. Some say it isn't the easiest to get an edge back, but providing you maintain it I don't see any problems. I think it is probably up there with Elmax has also a 58-59 Rockwell. We use Lohmann Niolox , here is a brief description

Niolox(Lohmann) - Stain resistant tool steel, with good edge holding and decent toughness. Contains niobium, one of the best carbide former, although there's not a lot of it(Niobium) in the alloy. In knives, typical working hardness range is 58-63HRC. Even without PM technology, it is a very fine grained steel, which obviously is a positive and aids with edge stability. Strangely, even though it's not an expensive alloy, not very popular with knife makers, mainly used by German, French and Belgian knifemakers. Supposed to have AISI D2 like wear resistance, and better edge stability.
