Would someone please tell the video reviewers on you tube the correct way to pronounce this knife?

It’s pronounced Pie-Ka.
Not Pee-ka.

The Pika is a small furry little animal that lives high in the Rocky Mountains.
They are a member of the rabbit family.

Some of these reviewers LIVE in the Rockies. They have to have seen the critters more than once. Nutnfancy comes to mind….
Strange that they can’t pronounce the name of the animal or the knife.

Since Spyderco, (that’s Spy-der-coe, not Spy-der-caw), is a Golden Colorado company, I have to think that Sal presumably named this knife after the animal that lives high in his home state.

These reviewers lose a lot of credibility with me when they can’t even pronounce the name of the knife they are reviewing.

Even the word ‘Pica’ is pronounced Pie-Ka, not, Pee-Ka.

There, got that off my chest…

Wasn't there a Spyderco Pirka at some stage? Easy to confuse Pika & Pirka... also isn't the Bm pika one of their infamous "Spydiehole" models?

My apologies to The Spyderco guys!

Braveheart was right, bad ending.
Makes me wonder if I know what I'm talking about when I get the manufacturere wrong.!

..that will go down even better with the BM brigade, telling them that Sal named BM Pika! :)

A guy I know used to EDC a Pika for a while.

He said it was really lightweight and comfortable and pretty to look at.

But the little hairy beady-eyed bugger kept biting and clawing like crazy when clipped in the pocket so he discontinued the practice and bought himself a knife.

:p

But, dammit, at least you pronounced the name right!

So, the videographers pronounce it wrong but they get the manufacturer right. I'd say you and they are about even.
