If you're refering to the buck 110 I use .125" brass pin stock from knifekits.com they're peened in place not glued. The actual holes in the bollisters are .130 so when you peen the pin in they expand the extra 5 thousands. As for the rivits I can't help u there I just tap new holes and put in .25" screws or you could epoxy the scales in place. As for the rocker pin still .125" pin stock, though I'm planning on replacing that with a 6-32 set screw. Hope this was helpful knifekits.com has been my primary source for parts since the offer corresponding tap drill and screws, and many other handy things.

Oh one more thing invest in a good set of pin pushers they're availible at Walmart and prove tremendously valuable in removing stock pins without damaging the material

Pin Punches my apologies. The ones I use are made by Stanley, purchesed at Walmart. There's six in a set from 1/16th to 5/16th. I set my knife on a metal block with a hole in it and use a thick slab of leather also with a hole in it and start tapping the pin out with the 1/16th punch and a small ball peen hammer. once the pin is pushed a little I upgrade to the 1/8th inch punch and hammer the heck outta it until the pin pops out...my reasoning for starting with the 1/16th punch is that the 1/8th inch will mark the bollisters if its not aligned perfectly.

I see.
Although a screw-type "pin pusher" similar to a reverse gear puller might be a good thing to invent! You could use a collet to hold the different size punch tips.

you mean like a drill press. I have a bridgport I've used in the past, guess I didn't think it out that well. I'm still pretty new to this whole process so im sure i make more work for myself then i need to. I'm very determined to make a buck conversion for my collection (needed something a little more difficult then the unscrew and insert spring here type deals.) I'm aiming at a leaf spring slide lock setup....i've already messed up 5 knives pretty good but you gotta crack a few eggs. once i got it done im gonna move on to making an auto from scratch as i have a whole machine shop at my disposal...i've looked online for resources that would atleast cover the basics but i cant find anything so i started a process of elimination to find out what works and what dont.....and so far its been alot of what dont. appreciate any input.

Thank you very much! I've struggled for a very long time to find a site that shares information directly related to my interests and that site seems to fit the bill. :)
