Their website is down and they are mostly out of stock on most dealers pages. Real shame, they made nice stuff.

yeah, I liked their earlier stuff and loved their anodizing, too bad they didn't make manual opening knives. Also wish they made some larger models, too but they were sure nice....

Sad and kind of ironic given that auto knives are now legal in way more places then when Piranha was in its heyday, such as it was.

This is a surprise but site being down might be for other reasons and stock can be many reasons as well so I will give this sometime myself before I would jump to any conclusions. If anyone has any information to share with the rest of us please let us know. I have had my eye on one of their models but my wallet never lets me get it as it is kinda hard to drop $400 on a knife.

I don't know, seems like a good enough sign to me.

I own one of the big shiny piranha X models I got from BHQ a few years back. The thin blade profile makes it a great slicer. Out of the box the blade has a fair amount of play in it. While I don’t dislike my piranha, the tolerances aren’t anywhere close to that of my Protech TR3 swat.

I never even knew they had a website and certainly find no trace of it remaining. I would hate for them to be gone and it is odd that a company in a relatively small industry would close up with no word out there at all.

Just looking and still not seeing them being out of stock in lots of places so wondering if anyone knows anything or if anyone saw them at Blade.

well, In April of this year BladeHQ told me Piranha is still in business and going strong. Their knives are still (pretty much) sold out everywhere.
I joined this forum hoping to find some piranhas actually
Thank you kindly

I just got a new bodyguard. I have other out the side autos from Microtech, Protech,Hogue,Boker and Kershaw. I wanted to try a Piranha for some time but was put off by the stories about blade play and no adjustable pivot. Well I finally broke down and tried one. They must have improved their act because this Bodyguard has zero blade play. Whether it holds up remains to be seen but so far , for the price, I'm impressed.
