I liked the review in The Martialist about the Ka-Bar TDI pistol grip knife.
Does anyone else have experience with these knives? Are they strictly "tactical" or do you envision an EDC options with this kind of pistol-grip knife? Any questions, comments or snide remarks on this knife/knife style?;)

I have handled one of the K-Bars. . The shape was OK to hold and it had a good solid grippability, but didn't do anything for me personally.
I own a Koster spear point K-Tusk that I EDC and love the feal of its drop grip shape. The K-Bars are fairly cost effective. Try one and see for yourself.
That is always a fun way to decide for yourself.:D

The TDI is nice for a sheath knife in that the angled handle doesn't poke you in the side when you bend sideways, as when picking something up or doing side kicks or roundhouse kicks.
I don't like a knife to restrict my mobility, so I like the TDI.
The sheath it comes with sucks pretty bad though.:thumbdn:
It works well for cutting wires and other regular uses too.

Thanks for the mention! :)

The sheath I use for that particular knife is one of the J-clip aftermarket sheaths by Shawn's Tactical Specialty.

the tdi is a nice knife for the price.
the newer models have the steel pocket-clip inside.
( belt-loop clip and steel clip )
i use it as box-cutter, open mails and cut my salami ...
bye
