Hi friends,

I am about to take a short holiday in the UK and will spend a few days in London. I would appreciate suggestions on where to look for some decent knives shops in London.

Meanwhile, I would also like to ask for some help in locating places where I can find some antique swords, armours (and of course second-hand knives)etc. Anybody knows where to look, perhaps some antique markets?

Thanks guys.

If your pockets are deep:

It's where Peter Weir, director of Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World bought the naval items which inspired him to write the script.

As to modern knives, you'll find London a bit of a desert. Most of the camping/hiking shops around Covent Garden sell SAKs, multitools and the like. You'll find little else...

We Brits tend to mail order our knives from the two or three sources which deal with decent kit.

Try the Wilkinson Sword showroom in London and the Holland and Holland Gun show room in London as well. They both have knives and swords but you'll need deep pockets. As far as modern knives are concerned, forget it.
