Playing with a shortened swedge....

Finished grinding the bevels on a nice chunky Mini Drop Point XL today, .187" thick CPM 3V......primary grind was pretty tall and I decided to play around with a shortened swedge that doesn't go all the way to the tip. I kind of like how it turned out, a bit different than usual.

Indeed I've done this before. It works visually on some models but not so much on others.

I grind some of my swedges the same way.

Still allows for good penetration and increased tip strength.
