Please help me identify this silver handled Bowie from AZ

Blade says J. Robert Monteith, Youngtown AZ 85363. The handle is solid silver and is hand engraved and inlaid rather crudely with what appears to be turquoise, onyx and other stones. The sheath is leather and has leather string with wooden beads. I'd like any information anybody might be able to offer about this weapon. Thanks

The whole knife is rather crude, what a waste of silver.

Looks more like aluminum than silver, to me. One of the older, heavier alloys...

I doubt that's silver too. If it is the value of the handle melted down for its silver is probably much more than this or most other whole custom knives of the same calibre.

I have replaced the blade in an almost identical knife. It had the same type of inlay and handle shape but the handle was aluminum and the knife had been bought from a vendor in Mexico while the owner was on holiday.

It was typical tourist souvenir product.
