I Need some suggestions on these knives I have been looking at for awhile. I was looking at the Kershaw Offset, Benchmade Skirmish, Strider's SNG Tanto or the RC, and the MerWorx Orion.
Thanks

Welcome to Blade forums
Rather than post the same question twice, it is better to bump the original question by posting to it.

You might get more answers if you gave more information:
What is your price range? More $ usually gets you more knife.
How big a blade do you want?
What are you going to do with it? One might surmise SD from the knives you are looking at, but you should spell out what duties you want the knife to perform. If you know what you want the blade to do, it will give an idea as to the best steel for the job and the blade style, but if you have a blade style you prefer, tell us.
Got a problem with foreign manufacturers?
Looks like you want a single blade, one-hand opening and a clip? Is that true?

Give more information, usually gets more info.

The significant differences in blade styles and intended uses leaves me thinking a show knife is the primary reason you want one, not what you plan on using it for.

Just taking the Striders, a Tanto SnG and RCC have different abilities in cutting. The RCC with it's high drop point and bellied blade will do a lot better in utility cutting - boxes, field dressing game, etc. The tanto blade SnG is a tougher penetrator, but the double finger choils are intended for finely detailed use. I believe the blade style is wrong for the grip, and the number of tantos on the market bears out most buyers are looking for the drop point. It's a lot scarcer. So the tanto Sng is for looks in a user market.

Contrast these two with the Offset, and confusion sets in. Add more, and I get lost on what you want - except that they are all high dollar knives. So a show knife seems to be the plan. As most people haven't a clue about knife values, a Kershaw Blue Bump would impress them more than a Sebenza.

Help us clear this up.

I'm always a fan of Benchmade...especially the Skirmish. That's a large-bladed (but relatively thin), frame-lock folder. Beautifully made.... and, for me, 'spensive.

Of course, not having as many knives as most in these forums, and especially not the real high-dollar knives, I can't make the most "worldly wise" recommendations. But I own Benchmades, handle them in shops whenever I can, and am obviously partial to them.
