Plumb Champion Axe. Did I do good?

I found this Plumb Champion axe today at an estate sale. I picked it up and this old gentleman said "That's 5 bucks!" I said SOLD!!! I don't know much about this specific axe but I figured it was at least worth $5. From doing research I see that some have the star imprint. Does that affect the value that much? Is this the original handle? Any help/information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I'd certainly say you made out well. I know very little about axes, but I'd have scooped that up without hesitation.

Definitely not the original handle but a nice one that looks to be in good condition, I wouldn't have hesitated to pay $10 for just the handle let alone $5 for the handle and head.
