I have this old Plumb with no weight markings that I can see. Seems like it’s at least 4lbs. Bit measures 5.5” wide and its 7.5” long. Marked with a Star stamp. Is this just a big Connecticut or a Tasmanian?

It could be a Connecticut.
Does the pole look rounded before abuse? Has it been mushroomed at all?
The dimensions are good, and that taper behind the eye is good.
Not sure if the profile shots are fair examples of its pattern.
I have a plumb about that size I will look back at for comparisons sake

Sure looks like a connie to me! Tassies have next to no poll at all.
I have noticed plumb put slightly longer polls on their conn. patterns. It's one reason I don't care for their Connecticut patterns as much as others makers.
Personally I prefer more weight in the bit on that pattern. Both in use and aesthetically.
I had one but traded it away.
Yours is in great shape too!

I hung this last week. Is it a Connecticut pattern or what pattern would it be? It’s marked 4 pounds, 7.5 inches long with a 5 inch cutting edge.
