Hi guys,

Can you please let me know if you have any input as to the quality and fit of either of these two company's copper scales for a PM2? I like the look of both of them. I just want to make sure that the scales I end up with will fit as well as the factory G-10 scales. I don't want to spend $$$ only to have to tweak them and then still not be happy with the fit of the scales.

Any help that you guys can offer will be appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't have copper scales, but the marbled CF scales (Para2) and machined bronze anodized ti pocket clip I got from RGT are both excellent quality. I put the scales on an S110V and the fit was exactly right.

How much would the PM2 weigh with copper scales?
May be a question to ask the makers.
I've got a few copper scaled knives and they are almost prohibitively heavy for comfortable carry.

Installed weight of 7.15oz for Flytanium copper according to KC's website.
The brass scales make a Para2 weigh in at 6.76oz.

Much as I would love a copper Para2, that is getting a bit heavy for my liking.

Anything over 6oz I find to be overly apparent in pocket.
That, and heavy scales throw off the balance.
Both points aren't necessarily a complaint if you're looking for a certain aesthetic, just items to consider.

I believe Fly Titanium's stuff is made in China. I prefer to support as local business as possible, so RGT all the way. I have two of his Spyderco clips and they are top notch.

I installed Flytanium CF scales on my PM2 and have no complaints. The tolerances are tight as if it were OEM. I also purchased another to retain the Blurple G-10 scales. It's been close to a year, and I've yet to make a judgment on which is better. I tend to carry the G-10 Blurple more frequently because it's original and has a unique color scheme that identifies the CPM S110V blade steel. It's one of the best blades I've ever owned in terms of cutting and utility. You can't go wrong with the CF or G-10. I have noticed that CF if getting scarce though.

i ended up with flytanium's carbon fiber and also own there titanium set for two of my PM2's,the fit/finish is grate for being made over sea's!can't speak for there copper scales, but most likely made as well, wish you best of luck..
