Latest drop of Ferrum Forge Stingers offers both. The best answer for me is to buy 2 and keep one with my surf fishing gear (pushing that Nitro-V in saltwater to see if it can brush off hours at a time of exposure).
Maybe just an excuse to talk about Stingers and curious if everyone is as biased as me and my knife friends...

Weave all the way.

Marbled carbon fiber is essentially the scraps of carbon fiber weaves clumped by a resin.

Weave. Marbled can be inconsistent depending on how the pattern lays out. Some marbled patterns look good, others look terrible.

I'm marbled all the way.

Weave or marble, a maker can do an amazing job. To me a basic weave is lame, while a basic marbled just looks elegant.

For the marbled, Protech and actually Buck use the best I've seen on the production level.

For weave, I don't have many, but my Freeman 451 is well done for a weave

On the budget end, civivi is a great company for budget value but the cf is not as nice imo. The incite with shred cf has many voids, and the marbled on elementum it not as shiny and bright.

So bottom line cf imo can be done well either way, but I'm addicted to it no matter what. There is just nothing like the look you get.

It's split right down the middle (you have to vote to see poll results) which surprises me. All of my friends IRL like weave better. I see what Yo is saying about Marbled done right, it potentially offers much more 3d depth, but I think it's hard to do right on a mass production level. Without oversight it seems to be very prone to voids.
I guess for the price, it's not crazy to buy 1 of each in the Stingers.

I'm just tired of seeing every knife in CF weave. It looks good on knives with some sorta other accent. But to me the marbled looks alot better. I ordered the marble CF verison a few days ago myself of the stinger.

I'm so use to carbon fiber everything that it actually gets annoying and plain to me.

To each their own

I do like the marbled look as an accent piece when it's an inlay.

I was thinking of my zt0452 that has a CF scale on one side. Weave is likely more structural than marbled. I'll give marbled the nod for being prettier.

I just like CF though. Really curious when we'll start seeing graphine or graphine-CF matrix scales.

I really like the weave pattern with another color mixed in. Check out Aramis scales with the green and the copper mixed.

I think I like your civivi better than most of the more expensive marble ones posted!
