So, how do you carry your Swiss army knife or knives?

I'd be interested in knowing why the setup works for you.

P.S. I originally wanted to make it a voting poll (with buttons) but I can't seem to find that function (maybe it's for paid subscriptions?)

Left front pocket along with my cash and coins. I'm right handed and have actually never tried putting it in my right front. By now any thing else would not feel natural.

Thanks MM!

BTW, I keep my SAK (usually) in the left front pocket with tissue or hanky to help prevent it from falling out. Still can't come up with a lanyard or keyring-belt configuration to my satisfaction (I want to keep the scales from scratching so I don't wnat to attach split rings or keyrings to it).

Jeans work, but slacks with their vertical pocket openings make it really easy to lose a SAK when sitting down.

I usually have one of my 91mm SAK's hanging from a Victorinox belt hanger, into my front left pocket. The belt hanger works great for eliminating the "bowling ball in your pocket" feel that a heavy folder can give you. I just let the belt hanger hang the knife into my pocket, suspending the SAK from my belt.

My locking Tradesman sits on my belt, in a beautifully crafted Victorinox leather sheath.

I carry a Victorinox One Hand Trekker in a simple, comfortable, horizontal sheath I made from a bicycle innertube.

Small ones like Classics and Escorts go in the 5th pocket of my jeans. Large ones are carried like most my knives, vertical next to my wallet in the back pocket. If it's thin, like a Bantam, Soldier or Nylon Solo I'll stick it in the front pocket. I don't carry much on me so my pocket are never full.

I've been carrying a non-alox Bantam, which is tiny, on my keychain for the last couple days... More precisely, attached to the easy-release keychain that came with my photon micro light. :-) So far, so good.

How does the knife detach? Does it stay on the keyring and the keyring comes off the clip? It sounds like a great accessory if this is the case.

I carry my keychain in my left front pocket, sometimes with the SAK hanging out.

I carry the ZDP Leek clipped to my left rear pocket, the Spec Bump clipped to my right front pocket, and the wallet in my right rear. Phone goes on belt clip.

With the other knives, the SAK is really just a heavy bottle opener, but I love it anyway.

I'm right handed and my SAK goes in the left front pocket next to my cell phone. I tried chains and lanyards but always go back to simple loose in-pocket carry.

Front right pocket. Seems to stay there under my SpecOps T.H.E. wallet jr. The box lanyard works good for when I need to retrieve it.

i've kept my Swisschamp in my right front pocket for a LONG time now, i have a loop of Type I paracord on the split ring just big enough to get my hand through and still use it

i also keep a Midnite Manager II on my house/work keys

I EDC a Vic Executive in my left front pants pocket and a 91mm Vic SAK (lately, a SwissChamp) vertically alongside my wallet in my right rear pants pocket, with a lanyard attached and tucked inside the pocket.

I carry a Tinker (84mm) in my left front pocket together with a Photon Freedom LED light. In the little watch pocket of my jeans I carry a Signature (just like a Classic, but with the addition of a handy pen).

The little guys, Rambler or Minichamp, go in my jeans watch pocket clipped to a micro flashlight. My others, a Tinker or Swisschamp, are suspended from my belt by a shoestring with a clip attached to the split ring. The SAKs ride vertical in my right front pocket along the back seam without touching bottom, keeping them from tangling with my keys and easier on pocket wear. This rig works best with jeans, which I wear 95% of the time, but is doable with slacks and suit trousers, if necessary. I find it an easier and more versatile method of carry than a belt sheath because the string itself sometimes comes in handy as a lanyard, measuring instrument (knotted at defined lengths) or to tie up something. And it costs nothing.

I use a ballistic nylon pouch with a velcro flap to hold my soldier and a Dorcy AAA light on my belt. The pouch is just wide enough for the soldier and single AAA light to ride side by side.

My classic is always on my keyring attached with a easy release j-catch, so it can be removed from the ring for use if need be.

Very clever idea! Im a paranoid person though and would always be checking to make sure its still there. I usually put it in my cargo pants pocket. Or in what my wife likes to call my Indiana Jones man purse.

Victorinox Explorer in the cargo pocket on my shorts or trousers. I'm getting some MOLLE "pocket organizers" soon, so it will go in one of them, then in the same pocket.
