OK, I heard back from Kay and JIm about Pop's Knife Supply being open or not.

Here is Kay's reply:
Hi Stacy,
We have sold the business to 4 knife makers & they will keep Pop's Knife
Supplies as the business name. They will do a great job with the business
after some fine tuning from us.
Yes, we are well but the business is wearing us out. Pop says it best:
It has outgrown us. We've had part time help but these younger people
stay for awhile & then move on to better jobs which is what we want for
them.
Pop & I plan on going to Harrisonburg to help the "new & improved" Pop's
owners. If they decide not to go, we will let someone know but as of now
they plan on going.
Thank you for your business & friendship over the years. We will
certainly miss everyone.
Kay

Sad news but hopefully it will be good. Pop's has always been my go to for Corby bolts and belts.

I've had great service from Pop's. If they keep the prices, I'll happily keep shopping them for coribes and belts! Would love if they started carrying loveless fasteners too!

I was telling my wife last month: "I hope Pop's never goes out of business... They have great service and great prices."

I'm happy some makers stepped in to carry the torch!

I JUST became a customer! It was refreshing to deal with a MOM and POP company! Dang it, such great folks to deal with, great prices, fast fair delivery etc. Oh well glad to see someone retiring! Good luck to them in the future!

I am a dumb a$$! I'm a hobby knife maker and only make knives in the winter months. Last year I ordered steel from Pop's (and a lot of belts) and just now getting around to using it and "forgot" exactly what kind of steel it was. Seeing these threads I thought maybe I should call to see if they kept records. I'm pretty sure it was CPM154. Long story short new owners have taken over already and after a short conversation with them I'm 100% sure I'll order from them in the future. Great people! As a buddy of mine says they just seem "common". They actually couldn't help me with my stupid question of me being a idiot. BUT I hung up knowing full well they will be first on my list to order from again!

I spoke with a couple of the Fiddleback/Pops guys at the Arkansas Knife show over the weekend. They said that Pop was still going to make and supply the Corbry bolts for the foreseeable future, belts and steel would still be sold and possibly expanded, and the website is getting revamped. Other than that hopefully not much will change.

Glad to hear Pops will still be making the Corbys, I didn't realize he made those himself. I placed a big order (for me - $350 or so) over the weekend and got shipping notice today with tracking number. GREAT service as usual from Pop's

I have to echo that sentiment as I've come to know those guys over the years at TRACKROCK. I ordered some stuff, it came quickly and all were happy! Those guys are definitely in the "good people" category.

I had an unwanted substitution, but they fixed it pretty quick. Other than that, no issues.

I ordered a bunch of 1×42 belts, got 2×72 instead. Never complained about it because it seemed like it would be too much to send them back to get the right size.

I have placed a number of orders with the new guys and the service has been great. Very quick shipping and they charge the actual shipping price. They are the first place I look when I need something.

I just got an order in today with an autographed note from Andy Roy ;)

A couple of orders with the new guys with no issues. Plus they have been very helpful with there tips and tricks lol..

They have been great with me also , any issues were fix quickly , twice the shipping difference refund was not given until I called them but was refunded with no problems . I was just curious .
