Just wanted to throw this out there. We have a sale forum, why not a trading forum as well? Trades quickly drop to page 3 in a day or two amongst hundreds of other posts on the main forum. Seems like if you bring up a trade here in the buck forum, you get slapped on the wrist. Don't really understand that, if we're looking to trade and aquire buck knives. I get that some members have abused the thread or been super annoying in the past. Maybe buck doesn't want to be affiliated with trades gone bad. Discuss...

For many years from when I first started collecting I never sold a Buck..But did trade for a few 112's. I just didn't want to be a 'flipper'..I'll have to take a look at the Forum Trading section and see what it is about. It sounds like a good idea but seldom will 2 different Bucks be valued exactly the same. Since 95% of the knives I own are Bucks maybe I can trade that 5% ...

I think you misunderstand the nature of the Blade Forum web site. In a sense, Buck, and others, are only guests here. This website is privately owned and all rules are set by the owner, something Buck Inc has no control over.

I do agree with you that I wish Blade Forum would allow trading and WTB on our Buck sales sub-forum. As a specialized collector, Buck only, there is too much to sort thru on the main forums so I don't bother.

Good idea….The issue for me on trades is who goes first in mail…
I guess it’s a matter of trust
Seems to me like there is already fraud and theft in the existing trade/sales forums. I'm just looking to have buck knives separated from the rest for obscurity reasons. Also would narrow the community so that good traders could develop a reputation and possibly reduce the amount of fraud as a result.

I am a middle child, so you'd think I would open to trading, by I am not, generally. But like Bucksaway said, I do have some non-Buck, non-Case knives that I don't really need (implying that the Buck and Case knives are needed). So maybe, but probably not. I haven't wanted to sell any so far and, God willing, I hope I don't have to. Something about my humble collection makes me feel like Scrooge McDuck. But I don't feel like I should dive into them.

What if we just started a Buck trading forum within wine and cheese? Have a list of members like the 117 club.
