Looks fine to me. I've seen that stamp variation before. The stamp examples and lists you'll find in this forum while extensive aren't all encompassing.

Nobody would fake an Imperial. They were low-price-point knives then and still are. The counterfeit market generally consists of knives intended to draw prices of $300 and up (read CASE, and original so-called "bowie" knives).
Nah I didn't make the purchase. I wanted to. It was unsure of the tang stamp being real or chimported!!

The knives made in Japan were very good knives, tang stamp was "Schrade - Japan"
