Found this one in a box full of knives given to me from a mate of mine in the Army.Used yes,but still scary sharp!

Appears to be a "SOG Recon Government" knife; blued, SK-5 carbon steel.

Amazing conditions of that Seal2000 and Seal Pup. With all the varieties that were out, which sheaths
did you get with them?

Ken, the Seal Pup came with the "ole school" nylon sheath with the square SOG logo and, unfortunately, the Seal2000 came with a kydex sheath. I love the knives in spite of the "mixed-matched" sheaths.

Love my Old Tigershark. It has been used, hard, in the Bush and swamps, & hasn't let me down.

Don't care about the partially serrated ones, or the powder coated ones, and haven't been paying much attention lately since I've basically given up, but people seem to want well over $1k for midnight and $600+ for satin (from what I've seen on ebay). For me that's hard to justify for a knife with a rubber handle and without a metal guard. But love the blade!

Exactly my thoughts
EXTREMELY HARD to justify that amount of money for $195 value "good" knife with rubber handle with no solid guard. Honestly they was "good" 80's blade...not that much , nothing to become crazy too
I will NEVER pay more than $299 for one in SK-5 steel now in 2019 , thats for sure.
I know a guy who state to have bought 3x SK-5 in the last 2 years for $300 each. thats reasonnable , but me i only need one..... same as you probably

+ theses rubber handle/guard....meh....
