Lets see the ones that top the list, based solely on sticker shock! Please include the latest estimated value, or sales prices, for those of us who are nosey. :^)
Thanks, david

Misunderstood the intent of the question apparently...

Most expensive swords

The most expensive sword ever sold to an auction, and considered one of the rarest swords in Europe, was an ancient Arab sword that once belonged to Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. He reportedly carried it when he went on to war in Italy in 1800. Measuring 32 inches, curved, and ornately decorated, the value of this antique sword fetched $6.4 million. It is now considered a national treasure of France.

Coming closely to Napoleon’s price tag is a ceremonial Chinese sword in 18th century. When it was auctioned in Hong Kong in 2006, onlookers and bidders were surprised to see that the price of this antique sword rose to $5.3 million. Called a Baoteng saber, it is considered the most expensive sword among ancient imperial Chinese bladed arms.

Gerber Paraframe mini ,they retail for $25 and they have no earthly use . Pretty pricey for nothing ,don`t you think :)

Modern made, Buster Warenski recreation of the King Tut dagger.

Imperial sword fetches $7.7m at auction By Wang Xiaodong (chinadaily.com.cn)

"An imperial sword, a top-class Chinese cultural relic, was sold for 48.3 million yuan ($7.7 million) at an auction in Beijing on Monday.

The sword was one of 90 made under the watch of Qianlong Emperor during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Most of these swords are kept in the Palace Museum in Beijing, and the one auctioned on Monday was the only one known to have been kept by an individual.

An imperial Buddha sculpture was sold for 10.8 million yuan at the auction, hosted by China Guardian Auctions."

Thanks Stuart

Heavy paper to say the least

Modern stuff may be able to compete in beauty but not in value to these antiques

This Walker "Zipper" was featured in one by Dr. Darom's books, and featured in an earlier Michael Walker thread, by ddd. A contender for most expensive folder, valued at $53,500.
