Here’s a beautiful vintage Gillette adjustable Fat Boy Razor. It’s in excellent condition for being over 60 years old. Date code is E2 which I believe makes it made in 1959.
I’ll try to describe it as best as I can but I’m not an expert on vintage razors so if I’ve missed something please ask.
Plating on the razor is excellent with no loss or fading of color only minor rub marks. Numbers on the dial are black and clear with no fading. The razor open and close smoothly and clicks through all the numbers as it should. The Case is in very good to excellent condition. The lid has a few rub marks and a couple small scratches, it’s not perfect but still very nice. The bottom is about the same. There are no chips or cracks on the lid or the bottom. The hinges are in good working order. The lid opens and closes properly and snaps shut tightly. It comes with what looks to be new package of Gillette Blue Blades. I’m sure they aren’t original to the razor but looks from that time period. I’ve had a few of these vintage Fat Boy razors and this one is about the best one I’ve seen. It’s not Brand-New right off the shelf but very very nice considering its 60+ years old.
