Primitive archery- natural antler arrow rest

I made this today for a friends longbow. We have been making some archery equipment together lately and he came up with the idea to make and antler rest for his latest longbow. It is very smooth and the arrow flies great with very little drag. I'm happy how this came out. I'm gonna have to make a couple for my bows later. Glued with pine pitch and tied with artificial sinew.

can't inlet the rest or the non-working section of the handle would be compromised.
