Hi Everyone,

I missed out on the Saw Man Du :(

But
I will have a Saw man du in the shop for a couple weeks.
The owner is letting me use it to make some sheaths.

Please e-mail me if you would like a sheath.

I will only have it a short time.

**** unless someone has an extra they do not want ;) hint hint ****

Are you thinking battlesaw style or what would work best?

I’m thinking of kydex with a raised groove going from the start of the teeth all the way to the mouth of the sheath - just like is done on pistol holsters to clear the front sight. Should keep the sheath from getting chewed up.

Since this is a pull-saw I don’t feel the need to have access to the teeth while the knife is in it’s little plastic house...

Now I have to decide if I wanna roll the dice and try to press my own, or go for the sure thing and have you make me one. :D

Really enjoying the kydex I got from you for my Mega Swamp Warden by the way - thanks again for the beautiful work.

Hey David,

Have you figured out what, if anything, you’re going to do to accommodate the teeth??

Hi Everybody,

Knife is in UT :)
Nice and sharp teeth it has on it.
I would not do an exposed spine at all, asking for trouble.
I made one and it kept catching on things.

I also made a flip top model, but it was more to answer a question;
could you make a sheath that you could saw with but have the blade protected.
Yes I can but once you sawed up to the sheath it did not work any more.
It was cool and gadgety but not very practical.
The fully enclosed is the best way to go, I think.

What I made for the battle saw seems to work well on the bunch I have done over the years with no chewing .
I make a negative space for the teeth.

Man, wish I had gotten in on these and the battle saw, and all the recent amazing offers.

I am being boring buying tools for knife making like a grinder, forge etc.

Making a bunch of these.
If you would like a sheath please contact me as I only have the loaner for a limited time.

(unless someone has one that is extra or unwanted that I may acquire :) )
