Quartermaster knife

I bought a old Cattaraugus several years ago. The 225 Q, Quartermaster knife. I later found that Bark River and Vehement had a remake of this nice modell. So I just had to get one of these as well , for comparsion. Very heavy build knives! The old one has a slightly longer blade, the new one from Brk has a thicker handle and guard.

Thanks for the comparison. I noticed the pommel on the new one is held on differently. I’m not surprised the original had a pretty unique pommel.

Z Zebs1 Thanks for the post, Zeb. My old man had one in WWII. Used to keep it in his top dresser drawer when I was a kid. It was, indeed, heavy. I like Bark River, too.
