I have a Queen Cococbolo doctor's knife with the spear point blade and spatula. When I bought the knife, I believed it was D2. However, someone has told me they thought the spatula pattern was only done in 420HC.
To the best of my recollection, it was advertised as D2 by the merchant, although as of 5 minutes ago the merchant's website is not accessible to verify this. I do know I would not have bought it without D2 blades.
When I google the manufacturer's SKU, it almost exclusively yields results for the pattern with the large spear point blade and the small pen balde, but in every search result I've examined it says that pattern has D2 blades.
When I go to Queen's website and look under the cocobolo series, it says both the pen blade and the spatula patterns are 420HC. Every other knife with the cocobolo handles would appear to be D2.

I've sent an email to Queen to inquire, hopefully their response will be prompt.
So my question is this: does anyone know if the doctor's knife, specifically the spatula pattern, was done in D2? I'm hoping to nail this down quickly because I have someone interested in buying the knife but, obviously, cannot complete the sale until I confirm the steel because I have advertised it as D2.
