Queen Cutlery fakes?

I am just getting into traditionals, as I tend to do things a little backwards. I was looking at a queen traditional that I wanted to buy and after reviewing the Queens gang stamps here on blade forums, the one I'm looking at does not match up. Can anyone help me out here. There seems to be a line instead of dots above the Q and the Crown circles don't seem to overlap one another. Any advice is greatly appreciated. 20190110_223038.png

I don’t think anyone is going to go to all that trouble in faking a knife that won’t fetch $100.
Please don’t think I am being demeaning about your particular knife in any way.
:)

Not at all, thanks for the info. I get what your saying. Here is the chart I was referring to.
I had to crop it so it's only had the list.

I had a quick scout on the net searching queen cutlery tang stamp 78 and 79 and they seem pretty common. The tang stamp chart may be deficient.
Bfishes333 stamp does looks different than the chart. So the chart may be deficient a lot the records from past companies are missing. I don't have another chart.

Thanks guys. I've been looking all over for another queen that's stamped with this same stamp and can't seem to find one.

Yours is in the range of knives made in 77-83. There are examples of the same stamp around on the web if you go hunting. Sometimes its hard to tell if they have a line instead of dots, but the non-overlapping arches is evident.

To me there are a lot of things that do not look like the Shown Queen Tang Stamps : Spacing in the USA letters // The Sides of the inside lines of the letter Q /// The 78 is spaced Over USA more like the 77 is on the 77 stamping . Those are all things that the blade opening and closing could not change the appearance of .
Edited : Have just now seen the posting above from Camillus Camillus and that obviously throws a different light on it .

Thanks everyone for the replies. From what I've gathered here from you all, is that it should be legit and there's many reasons the stamp could be a little off. I'll go ahead and pursue the Queen. Thanks again.

After noticing all those things you pointed out I'm back to square 1. It is also called a country plowboy and not cousin. I looked that up as well and didn't really come up with anything sufficient. I found an old thread on here where someone was asking about a plowboy from Queen but didn't get too many hits on it.

The naming might simply be the seller's ignorance not an attempt at deceit. Does it have an original box? Can we see the whole knife? As Duncan points out, this appears to be a work-knife, not rare, the potential gain of forging it would be minimal. Unless you're contemplating on handing over a big load of cash that is...;)

It looks exactly like the 78 Only stamp second from the left middle row to me.
