Hello, this is my first post in the Boker forum. I'm ordering the Lucas Burnley Barlow BFF Damast fixed blade (Boker images below). It comes in a leather sheath that looks like a good user. But is it advisable to store the knife in the leather for extended periods of time? What do others do?

Thank you. --Greg Goode

It's best to store your knife out of the sheath. Storing a knife in the sheath may promote rust. I have seen that happen.

Definitely out of sheath. The part of the wood handle inside the sheath can react with the leather and slightly change colour.
