Question about Boone and Crockett buck 110s

Are these 110s limited edition knives? Something that's done annually or so in different handles or steel? Just wondering because I've seen different ones online and I just saw one at Dicks priced in the 40 dollar range. I've also seen more expensive ones. Is there any order to this collection? Is there only certain shops that sell them? Anyway.. any info or pics of B&C 110s would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your help!

There is nothing that is unifying about the use of the B&C logo accross the entire product line. They put it on everything from standard knives with printing on the blades to higher end knives with nice handle materials (and printing on the blade).

If you go to an online auction site and search "Buck 110 Boone", you will see a good representation of the 110's with pictures.

The Boone and Crockett 110 is no more a special item than any other 110 in a blister pack. The Knife is a regular 110 and it still has the crappy nylon sheath made in China. When the B&C line first came out it was nice and different, some what special, Now you get a tin can with the purchase of a 110, Big Whoop...

I see. Thanks for the info guys! I was hoping there was a bit of collectable logic or cool history to the collection but it seems like its just an ongoing thing, nothing too special about it.

I have to agree for the most part about the B&C "collection", especially those from Dick's. Unless you are collecting tins, there's nothing at all special about them.

On the other hand, I have the three knife set that was available for a while and although they have the tacky black print on the blades, the handles came in three different burl woods with a real medialion inset into them. I ordered the set with the display case using my two knife per year big discount from Buck's Pro site (the set counted as one). They each came in a black Limited Edition box complete with a very nice brown leather sheath as well as the display case.

I love the barehead design but it's overall appeal (as with most of the B&C knives) is spoiled by the ugly logos on the blades. I just checked and I guess I've never taken a photo of the three together, but one of them is the bottom knife in these photos:

Those are sweet knives indeed Dave. There are other B&C's that are very knice. The Aplha Hunter folder is really knice, the green paperstone 300's are cool. I have the 110 and had to search 6 or 7 tins before I found one with decent blade printing.

Thanks for posting those Dave! I love the barehead design too! Super nice knives to have in your collection.

You're welcome. I ran across my pictures of the three. The picture really doesn't do the Redwood burl (the center knife) justice:

I didn't mention any of the other models because you had asked only about 110's, but Kev is right. There are several models with out the blade print that are really nice. There are three (that I know of) 301's in green Paperstone, stag and ironwood, a beautiful stag 113 and from 2012, an elk handled 110. The Alpha series that he mentioned are also very classy in my opinion, with their checkered handles.

Hello all Newbie here. Like tracks I recently got the Boone and Crockett bug.
I am picking out the ones that catch my eye more than anything . I like the alpha series also.i picked up alpha hunter heritage walnut B&C and alpha dorado b&c(since returned but will purchase another at a later date) then I found the alpha hunter elk handle B&C that hasn't arrived yet. After that I found the 2012 elk handled B&C which ironically showed up today and I must say this is a gorgeous knife and I am not a huge fan of the 110.(but this may change my mind) I have seen the boone and crockett that tracks speaks of its not much for a collectible but its only 40 bucks whatever floats your boat. I have seen people buying them for higher than retail on a certain auction site. I guess they don't no they are still available. For other knives I picked up a charcoal mini alpha hunter that I will actual use and the ll bean elk alpha dorado. I must say Buck makes some beautiful knives. Now I just got make some more money to add to my collection. Sorry if my post got of track.

ya know I seen some art work 5 years ago for this knife
some how I jest have not gotten in to them .. nice handles and all
but the nice ones seem to be a bit pricy fer me ... with that black printing on the blade
