The Silent Soldier Flipper is the newest production knife coming out of Brous Knives.
I can tell you I'm a big fan of Brous Blades. The Silent Soldier neck knife was a huge hit and one of my favorite small fixed blades of all time.
So it was only natural that when the Silent Soldier Flipper was announced my interests were peaked. This knife has a lot going for it.

Just by glancing at the Silent Soldier flipper you can see its an original and unique design. The 7/8 finger hole is a great design feature that offers
many various grip options and precise control. The pivot uses a ball bearing system which aides the flipping action so it deploys fast and hard.
It has a 3/16 blade stock of D2 steel with a warncliffe blade shape. Titanium liners and backspacer and carbon fiber handles.

The ergos on this bad boy are really stellar. Theres so many grip options with this knife and most all of them are extremely comfortable. My favorite
grip being choked up with the pointer finger in the hole. Another great grip is the middle finger in the hole and pointer finger and thumb pinching the
spine of the blade. With this grip you can do detailed and controlled cutting. The knife is very reminiscent of the Karambit fighting knife. I can see the
Silent Soldier Flipper being a very efficient last ditch self defense knife.

This run of Silent Soldier Flippers is limited to 500. This knife being Jason Brous first folder I am highly impressed and really look forward to seeing
other offerings Brous Blades will have in the future.

nice! I can't believe you took it apart!

I have one too.. and it is SOLID.. ever part locks up perfectly.. I'm afraid if I took it apart I'd lose some of those tight fits.. and possibly reduce the flip action..

I would say it's one of the nicest flippers out there and at this price its a great deal. THE ONE issue is the pocket clip and flipper part. If tucked right up against the seam of your pocket, it will grab your fabric when you pull it out.. So you have to have it clipped in your pocket just a 1/2in away from the seam.. Jason said they would be changing the clip placement and offering more positions in the next run of this folder.

With that in mind, I still enjoy this knife--- it's solid with fit and finish of some of the best. It's truly a small pocket tank! :) I just wish he'd hand grind ALL his knives... and keep this price :)

Buy this knife!
