Quick question about the benchmade h2o

Hi all, quick question for any of you benchmade fans that might know something about the h2o knife. I'm looking for something for heavy saltwater use. I have heard that the griptilian blade is made of an anti corrosive metal, but the rest of the parts are the same as the regular grip. I am curious about the 111h2o folding dive knife. Does anyone know if that knifes going to be the same story?? N680 blade but rest of the components same as other benchmades? Just curious as I'm interested in getting a larger saltwater knife. Thanks in advance.

I read that the springs look different... Not sure what that means, Id give Benchmade a call and ask what the components are made of.

If you do call them Surfingringo please let us know. I have wondered the same thing.
 
Tried calling but I ended up on hold with a computer. I'm in Costa Rica so....I sent them an email asking them specifically about the components on both the h2o grip, and the h2o111. I will let y'all know what they tell me. I would be willing to buy either, but only if they have done something to "salt proof" ALL parts, not just the blade. Lets see what they say.
 
Man, I asked on their forum and couldn't get an answer. I called them from Costa Rica and couldn't speak to a human being. I emailed them almost a week ago and never heard back. I'm over it. Ordering a Pacific Salt today. Sorry benchmade, I tried. :(

That's really a shame.

Thanks for the tip, but I already ordered the pacific salt. I was leaning towards the spyderco anyway, but I honestly wanted to give the h2o a chance. I own a benchmade mini grip and I like it. Oh well, no big deal, these things happen. It's just one sale right? ;-).
