Guys, what do you consider the “classic” or “quintessential” or “traditional” color for a Case knife such as the Stockman or Trapper?

Thanks,

Mitch

"Yeller Delrin" or "Red Bone".
None of the current offerings match the quintessential red bone of the glory years, pre-1980.
I like yellow Delrin, just not enough to carry very often. Bought a "dark red" bone peanut recently for my wife, but it's not like the old red bone. Too bright, even pinkish on the ends. Not for me. Just my preference. Love the amber bone.

Amber bone or yeller delrin.

It might be seen as their stock standard jigged bone pattern, but I think Case do a pretty good job of it.

(I still can’t resist playing around with a bit of potassium permanganate solution, sandpaper and stropping compound though.)

If you know someone who’s handy with a sharp scribe ( @r8shell ), I hear the yeller delrin makes a good canvas for some awesome scrimshawing. ;):thumbsup:
