It made the rounds at the Wanenmachers Arms Show in Tulsa that R.W. had 6 months to live. Every body was going by to visit with him. I don't know if it is cancer or what. FYI
 
Sad to hear this. I spent some time in RW’s shop shortly after I starting making knives. He was very generous with his time and knowledge. Wishing him the best.
 
That's too bad. I drove six hours to spend the day with RW in his shop. He taught me how to buff to a mirror finish - he espoused to the mantra that he felt it was right to share his God given talents. A real icon
