Bob Gaddis writes in his book that when the Model 23 "Gamemaster" was first designed, the Randall shop (Bo and Gary), wanted a knife between the extremes in size of the Model 8, Trout and Bird, and the Model 19, Bushmaster.
They designed the main feature common to both, the short top cutting edge, into this knife. But none the less, just a big Model 8. I like it, don't you?
I started to write this article to ask you to show me your yellows, since both of these have great matching handles. But when I laid them down to photograph them, I once again saw how much they resemble each other. Both have Johnson roughback sheaths and look as though they could have been made the same day. Both are used, but nice. No, this is not an ad to sell them.
And yes!!! Please show us your yellows.
Regards
Rhett
