Random Photo Thread!

The 'hood. One block over from me actually, my street is pretty shady lightwise.

Here's one of me taking pics of the stairwell at work for the photo above.

Of course, you may get photo bombed. My daughter. Yes, Daniel, as hard as it is to believe, Jade will get this big some day. LOL

I had to go down to Sieu Thi Hung Vuong (local Viet supermarket) for some Manila Clams earlier, so I decided to soak in some current ChiCom knife technology.

Check it out-

First, Blingblade (no relation to Billy Bob Thornton's thing):

Then, something from Xi Guo "Al Mar" Ping, the Al Mar of China:

Notice the quality ChiCarta™ grip:

And no trip down the Vietnamese supermarket cutlery aisle would be complete without some blasted hamons!

I'm really kicking myself for pissing away all my spare cash on Fairlys now, aren't I? :D

FBC, that's a bitchin' cooker.

Any provenance you can share? Some poor bastard takes great care of that copper monster! :D

And 0037ksm-

I hadn't noticed that other miscellaneous stuff in the background, as your daughter is absolutely lovely- and I mean that in the nicest, most non-creepy way possible.

On third or fourth glance, that glass stuff isn't too shabby either. ;)

This is turning into a really great thread! Thanks guys, it is a lot of fun checking everything out.

Kevin, that is a serious stove! Nice! The other pic is trippy too!

0037ksm those are awesome photos! My wife does lampwork... the one of your daughter is really cool, is that in a tram?

Theflyingplatypus! Man you are getting good! Guys, he made that stuff! I'm amazed! Your style and finish is just top notch.

Bako, that is cool, a glimpse into your day and some cool knives! I like that bolstered one and the fake hamon cracks me up! I miss a good Asian grocery store, in Austin I had a killer one down the street. ...lmao on your comments too! :D

Hey thanks for trying! I tried to fix it but am not really sure either... I put them on photobucket and go from there.

Thanks, Bako. She gets her looks from her Mom, certainly not me.

Hey y'all this is a pic of some tree sap in Big trees state(?) park
That stove in the last pic I posted is the stove at Jen's (my wife,fo those who don't be knowin) family cabin. It gets used all summer long.
A lot of awesome pics in this tread !

Roofsc,

You can't post pictures directly from your hard drive to here- you have to have them posted to the net elsewhere (like photobucket) and then link to them with HTML in your comment with the little buttons.

That is a cool pic Kevin! The wood looks figured too!

Roofsc - Bako called it, try photobucket. If you have a paid account you can upload them here too.

I use photobucket, and my wife uses shutterfly. I think shutterfly is better if you like ordering prints, as their paper and printers are phenomenal. If you just post random pics to share on the web though, photobucket is awesome.

Roofsc,I use flickr.I think you can still get a free account and use it to post pics on the web. You are just limited to how many pics you can load every week, if I remember right.
Now for a few pics from Cambodia I took a lot of years ago.
