Random Photo Thread!

Those mine photos look awesome. I was really into gold panning a few years back. Nothing more than a sluice box,pan and a few survival beers. I had a few good days where we got some good color but it was more about getting out in the woods and relaxing. Never did find a nugget though. Maybe next time!

We have been building a cabin for the last three years and that is where all my spare time goes now. Well that and raising our daughter Ava,she's three and a half now. The years go by quick with kids. I try and spend as much time with her that I can. It seems like she was just learning to walk yesterday and now she can tell me everything she did today. Just wait Daniel you'll see.

I do have a week in May to go and strike it rich! If nothing else the hard work makes beer taste sooo much better.

Nice score Xander. The last pic is from a particularly good night of dumpster diving. WE FOUND DONUTS! MMMM dumpster donuts!

That is cool! There is great panning here if you find the right spot. I have never done a lot myself but really should, I get too caught up in trying to find stuff that will polish.

Building a cabin! Sounds cool! I would like to build my own place one day.

I know what you mean on time passing quickly! Jade is just a year old and she already understands just about everything. She is already playing dress-up! I spend as much time with her as I can.

One of my favorite Seinfeld episodes is when George eats the eclair from the trash... awesome! For some reason that reminded me, lol. :) Nice photos!

The only cool thing about using the iPhone 5 camera is, if you force it to take a picture when it doesn't really want to (poor lighting, too close, etc), you can get some surreal photos.

Flowers in the back yard.

Talk about 3d! The flowers really stand out.

I like the Hawaii pic too, it really captures how rough the weather looks.

Rescued her from a kill shelter about 5 years ago. Since we've had she's learned that this look will pretty much get her anything she wants.

Thanx! Waffles was a rescue I litterally found on the sidewalk one day. No lost bird flyers or anything, her wings were clipped and partially grown back when I found her so I knew she didn't come from far away. She was my buddy, I do miss her!

If I may ask, what kind of bird was she? She's very pretty, looks like, parakeet? So sorry if I'm wrong.

She is a pie-bald, peach faced love bird. She actually developed a small vocabulary of words which is rare but possible for these birds. Typical peach faced love birds are just green and pink with the blue wings, but pie-bald means skin colored or yellow colored on the head.

Xander, Awesome Pics! Inspiration...

John, cool dog! That is a great look he has for the photo!

I got the camera and took this after the sun was behind the mountain... bad lighting but I really like how in focus it is!

Sorry, I jdon't use any photo site or social site other than this forum... so my photos are all stored here and that means I have to resize and ... you get the picture. ;] I have too many random photos.. I'll start small.

Camping several years ago, we stumbled upon an outhouse, OH BOY! WARM SEAT... no way we used this thing.. and there was a HUGE ASSED SPIDER just inside the door.. snakes outside it.. just relax and have a seat!

Public service announcement.... took this one while I was driving a small RV.. surprised I even got it in frame...

It actually snowed on us yesterday. Pretty unusual for where we are but a few miles east of it, they measure it in feet. Got a quick impromptu pic before it melted.

Nice rig again, 0037. You like some good stuff, man!

I just bought my first Swiss watch last fall, and I still haven't worn it- it's just a Tissot T-Race I bought for the orange strap. I'll have to dig out the watch that was my dad's, so i can take a picture for you. He died when I was little, and it's pretty much all I have of his, other than a couple of his tobacco pipes, and the box he kept them in. It's a solid gold Girard-Perregaux from some time in the 50s, with 3 chrono dials and a working moon dial. It needs a new strap and crystal, and certainly cleaning, polishing and a tuneup.

Some day.
