I'm continuing to winnow down and consolidate my collection bit-by-bit, so up for sale today is my Benchmade 705 drawer queen. The 705 was made for a couple years or so back in the day as the perfect small companion for the widely popular and iconic original AXIS knife, the 710. It was soon replaced by the aptly named 707 Sequel which featured a broader blade and slimmer-but-wider aluminum handles. The 705 features a virtually identical configuration to the 710 with cross-fluted G-10 handles, backspacer, and a slim, saber-ground blade with swedge.

This one has a combo-edged, ATS34 blade and is marked as "Pre-Production Run, 0320/1000". I bought it in 2015 from the original owner. It had been his safe queen and has become one of mine--never carried or used. The centering is good with no blade-play, the action is superb both flicking open and free-dropping closed, and the lock-up is very solid The knife has its original factory edge and the G10 handles are crisp and clean. The black-oxide pocket clip shows one edge mark and some light scuffing from storage, though many Benchmade clips in that finish come similarly from the factory.

I have two other 705s and don't plan to use or carry this one, so I'd like to find it a new home. Please post "I'll take it" in the thread followed by a PM or Profile Message if you want the knife. USPS Priority shipping to US addresses only is included and payment is to be by Paypal Goods & Services, shipped to the Paypal address only. You must be at least 18 years-of-age and know your local knife laws in order to purchase and I reserve the right to sell to whom I choose. Prompt payment is expected to secure any offer or deal made. Sorry, no trades at this time.

The price on this knife is $160--dropped to $150. SOLD. I'm unsure whether this one came with a black Benchmade bag or not, but I can include one if you'd like. Comes with the original box and paperwork shown in the pics.

Edit: I dropped the seller pics originally posted as they were pretty poor. See subsequent posts below for better pics. Here's a shot I found on my computer taken alongside my user 710 that shows what a great match the 705 makes....

Here's a few more pics I shot today. It's wicked cold out, so I took 'em in front of the slider.

Note price-drop on the knife to $150. SOLD. I'd like to get this one moved out to make some room and recoup some $ from late 2017 purchases. Feel free to make an offer--no harm in asking.... ;)

Someone inquired about the clip, and to repeat what I mentioned in the OP, I bought this from the original owner some years ago who told me he had never carried or used the knife--just handled and admired it. Same here. If you're familiar with Benchmade black oxide clips, you'll know that they mark up extremely easily and often come from the factory with scuffs and edges brightened. I have several vintage BMKs bought BNIB with the same clip and they're all less than perfect--just the nature of the beast.
