Since there are many iterations of the Satori, it could be hard for a secondhand or later buyer to tell. This one seems to be a mashup of two separate, existing iterations.
From my image search, most genuine Satori(s?) have a fuller in the blade. There is at least one without the fuller out there, but it's pattern-welded.
I've never been within a hundred miles of the genuine article, so I can't say what the difference in build quality is. I'm guessing that the customs are miles above, but I'm hoping some others can add facts.
