I've always had a great appreciation for Ray's genius work, there are so few out there like these.

I had the great pleasure of meeting and chatting with Ron when I was in San Diego. It was very shortly after his father had passed on from what I understand, and his fondness for his father was obvious. That he is carrying on the tradition of innovation which these knives show is inspiring to say the least.
I had the opportunity to gain some insight into the mechanisms through talking with him, and we found some common ground, as many of the mechanical principles which apply to these mechanisms also appear in the mechanics of bicycles.
Very cool knives, and thanks for the exposure to these ones!

Ray Appleton was a true genius. His work is so unique, totally different from other knifemakers. I love his locking mechanisms like the Multa lock, IQ mechanism, Infi lock; they are unsurpassed. Mr Bernard Levine wrote a beautiful article in Blade Magazine about Ray (january/february 1988) wich gives a very good insight and great information about the man himself. Ron is just like Ray a mechanical genius with a great eye for aesthetics, and the perfect successor to carry on Ray's legacy.
Thanks for sharing these beautiful knives! Greatly appreciated!
RIP Ray Appleton.

Beautiful, do they have the same locking mechanism ?

the middle and bottom one have Multi Position Locks and the design you see in the pivot area pops out at every position.
the top one is an IQ mechanism

all three are super fun to play with.
