Reate Exo-M new with lock

Has anyone got opinions on this handled it etc? I fought the urge to buy the V1 version successfully but now it has lock and pocket clip and I am wondering if I should jump in or wait? Thanks

It’s like they heard my cries! I really think the pocket clip and lock will make for a better overall knife. I just wish the pocket clip looked a little better…

The new version just dropped I think on White Mountain knives with lock and pocket clip. I was wondering if anyone got one yet. I just bought the green Micarta double edge dagger didn't want to miss out.

Glenn I get that but given how illegal this knife is in many places maybe sub 3" is good either way for fidget factor but yeah I get it is smaller than the original

yeah my thoughts exactly got the green Micarta double edge odd there was not more hype on you tube or forums. I just stumbled on it

I have the original larger version. I think this is a way better execution of the concept but the screw used on the pocket clip not being more flush with the body should have never made it out of QC. I will likely grab one when I can find one for sale or maybe wait a while and see if they improve the design even further.

I have the tanto/green micarta version and I like it a lot. With the lock and pocket clip it's actually quite a decent EDC option. I think I lucked out with the grind on my, which came it at just 0.125" behind the edge, but others have reported closer to 0.02", which still isn't terrible.

I resisted getting the original version because it couldn't be locked. And I debated about it for a few weeks.
Then I saw the new version and bought it as soon as it became available, solved all the issues I had with the original.

The smaller blade size is really not an issue for me.
Build quality is what you'd expect from Reate and it's compact enough to disappear in your pocket.
The raised screw head on the pocket clip, doesn't hang up on my pocket edge.

My only nit-pick , is the picture of the padlock on the lock slide.
