And where are you finding these “unicorns”??? LOL! Seems like all the good, reasonably priced pre-GSM stuff is long gone. As far as the MagnaCut Recon 1 is concerned…I agree, way too expensive. Will wait till price drops. But now I’m wondering if this new super steel is the latest and greatest, will the S35VN stuff drop in price?I’ll keep buying new old stock pre-GSM models for $100 or less.
MagnaTudes betterI see available , Recon 1 models with DLC S35VN for under $90 .
How much better does your folder blade have to be ?![]()
If the whole thing is geared towards rust resistance it would be a big practical step.I see available , Recon 1 models with DLC S35VN for under $90 .

Under $90!!! Whatcha talkin bout Willis?!?! I think the absolute cheapest I’ve seen them at was maybe $85, but that was awhile back…at a legitimate website (where you can easily return the product if need be)I see available , Recon 1 models with DLC S35VN for under $90 .

Sonewashed (not blackwashed) would be great, regardless of whether it's S35VN or Magnacut. Why not satin or stonewash if its Magnacut? Coatings are overdone. I have a satin Recon1 and it looks way more premium.
Maybe for bragging rights !Is it worth it?
^^^THIS^^^I'd be happy with aus 8 ones again if the price point was affordable.........
They are stonewashed apparently, just very dark. Why coat a blade in magnacut, why not a nice stonewash. Hard pass until they stop with these silly coatings.
