Bought this knife a while ago and could not believe what you get for the price. The blade grinds and edge was perfect and QC was spot on. Could slice paper easily. I beat the hell out of mine and use it a lot for yard work. The edge chipped quite a bit, but after re-sharpening the blade at a more robust angle, I have not seen another chip.

Was wondering, what is the blade tang shape and length on the knife? Is it a full tang? Could not find info on the web.

It's full length, but not technically 'full tang'. It's the same as this SRK. Still plenty strong.

This is a Carbon V Recon Tanto, but I'm pretty certain this is the same tang design for all subseqent Recon Tantos.

If you want a good EDC way, I would suggest remove the floppy flimsy belt hanger from the sheath.
Add either a spyderco, blade tech or cold steel, plastic belt loop device to your liking.
If you want and inside waist band, I use a police type belt loop keeper, either leather or nylon to your liking.
I just punch a hole where needed, in the belt keeper and secure it to the sheath by a small screw and nut.
Cheap easy works great for me.
Good Luck I carry and use a SRK almost daily working outside.

I have been experimenting with a simple loop of cord. Won't cost you anything to give it a try. You can carry it like a regular belt knife or put the knife IWB and there is enough slack to run the belt through on the outside. It also has enough give when you sit down in a chair that the knife doesn't poke you in unpleasant ways.
