A lot of woodcarvers and whittlers recognize A2 as a superior steel, Harry. Can be ground thin and holds an edge. But even 1095 would be an improvement over the 420HC they use. Many have asked Case to do it, but they consistently make lame excuses to NOT do it. They made a short run of ATS-34 some years ago! You never see them surface!
 
Thanks very much:) I gave the 66 Slim away, it's now in Slovenia. The Primitive Bone 26 I traded for another knife. The other two are going nowhere;)
