First photo is as received. I gel stripped the coating off. Hand ground on stones and with paper to get machine marks out, took the grind to a full polish (120,000 grit). The flats and tang are acid etched black. Razor sharp mirrored convex. 2 kydex sheaths. I have 12 hours into the blade.

Both finishes are rust preventative. I did the work over a year ago and not 1 pit mark.
