Hello, Recently I just got a large display sword for my wall. it looks fantastic, except for the small, silk-screened words "made in Pakistan" just above the tang on the blade. the blade is un-sharpened, and just for decore. Does anyone know how to remove the silk-screen? I've tried braso, toothpaste, and steel wool. each with no effect.

Still though, Ya gotta admire those pakistani ninjas. ^_^

That might be electroetching, rather than silk screen. If it is, you will have to remove metal to get it off.

Grab a file and go at it.

It's probably either laser etched or like knarfeng said, electro etched.

Try some nail polish remover and a Q-Tip. Make sure you get the strong stuff that is acetone. They have this new "green" crap that is useless. Your wife/mom/girlfriend will know.
