Removing etching on blade

Is there an easy way to remove writing on a blade without grinding or damaging the steel? I purchased a Blade-Tech Mouse Lite from Spydieguys.com back in Dec. When I received the knife, aside from the normal Blade-Tech markings, the blade has SpydieGuys.com etched on the blade, and I would like to remove the advertisement. Thanks!

If it were me, I'd just send it back, and find one elsewhere. If the etch is very deep at all, it'll take a lot of grinding/sanding to remove it. The finished result could be disappointing, at the very least, unless you're accustomed to this kind of work.

Vendors names, etched into an otherwise attractive knife, is something that I personally wouldn't put up with.

Edit:
You might find the following thread interesting. I don't know anything about the vendor you purchased from, but apparently, others here have a lot to say about 'em. The blade etch seems to be a common complaint.

Sending it back would accomplish the same thing ws throwing it out the window on the highway. That vendor does not exist anymore, they packed up shop recently to the benefit of everyone.
Sand the etching away using 220 grit wet/dry paper, then 400, 600. It will be gone in no time and the knife will look as if nothing was ever there. Just follow the grain of the grind.

Sounds like something that needed to happen, based on what I saw in the other thread.

Barring sending it back, the sanding advice offered by RevDevil should get it done.

Good luck.

You could take the blade off and have it bead/sand blasted.

Looks like a lot of people have issues with them. Thanks guys for the helpful information. Much appreciated.
