Hello guys , I wanted to buy one of these but everywhere it says - not available . I searched in the forum and I saw that alot of you use it (although all the threads that the resporator is mentioned are at least 2-3 years old) and on top of that I'm from Europe. So if anyone of you have some info on the matter of where can I find and buy one , I would be very gratefull to hear it. Otherwise I'll have to build one myself. Cheers

Just Google Resp-o-rator and look at the places selling them. Some are out of stock, but others show them in stock. Woodcraft and other woodworking sites usually have them, too.

I have one. Unless you are a scuba diver and/or are fond of your own saliva, I doubt you will like it.

Ain't that the truth. I know there's a video or two of the company owner claiming that if you close your teeth you don't drool as much, but I don't think it helps a whole lot.

My main issue with mine isn't the spit though, it's just that the thing is so cheaply made, and not very comfortable. The mouth piece isn't very comfortable at all, and the rest of the plastic is very thin. If/when it gets cold, it gets very brittle, and the cross bar that holds the tubes apart broke on mine almost immediately, just from trying to open mine up to put it on.

For what it is, it does what it's supposed to do I guess, and it is really nice for wearing hoods and glasses and such, or if you have a beard, but the thing should really cost closer to $20 instead of the $50 or so I paid for mine. If they put a softer mouth piece on it and used the right plastic (instead of the cheapest they could get), it'd be significantly better. As it currently sits, if mine completely falls apart I will NOT be buying another.

I have seen them and never thought they would be any good. Do yourself a favor and get a PAPR unit from ebay or Amazon and be happy forever. If you are handy, you can just buy a hood and hook up your own air supply using small size vacuum hose. Make a filtered air blower and place it away from the grinder area.

Thank you all for the answers, I do realise that it's not the most comfortable thing but I want to try it. So if any of you have an idea where I cann order one I'll be very grateful. Everywhere on the internet says that it's not available. Or maybe it is not produced anymore?

I'm a fan of mine... great for the bearded among us. I've been keeping an eye on the one sold on amazon and it seems to be going in and out of stock with COVID.

Note: I've seen some people make a 3D printed adaptor for these to fit 3M filters. This is what I was able to find - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3229013

I have cases of filters if they will fit. I will take a photo and post the number tomorrow if I get a chance.

It looks like it'd be pretty easy to make out of pvc pipe from the hardware store... If you have a plumber friend I bet he/she would hook you up really quick...

Thanks alot guys , I think I'll try to make one . i'll use a scuba mouthpiece and i'll try to figure out a valve and will hook it on some 3m filters.

I also have another idea. Would it be comfortable if instead of a mouth piece I use something like these things in the nose

This way I'll eliminate the saliva problem, but maybe there are some other problem that I don't see now.
