Hi Guys,

Just order a couple blades from BladeHQ last week on June 22nd. The following day recieved a confirmation email idicating th blades were shipped via USPS. When I oped the tracking number it indicated the item was delivered on June 20th (2) days earlier than my order. Not to my address but on the otherside of the country. Has anyone experienced this? To me this is a totally unacceptable practice whether BladeHQ or the PO. Called BladeHQ and the fellow said yeah sometimes this happens? I mean what is the point of tracking....

Disappointed, TD

I’ve seen it before and the tracking corrected itself and worked like normal once it was in route to me, no issues getting those packages. I also mailed a knife once to a buyer and saw the same situation, I had shipped the knife from the Post Office so it obviously didn’t give the clerk any sort of “alert”, the transaction was completed like normal. I checked the tracking again that evening and it was updated like it should showing the progress to the new destination.

Thanks for the response. Not really worried but htis practice seems crazy in this day and age. USPS charges crazy rates for everything this is a shame. Hopefully will see an update today as same status since Friday...

Thks

A couple bucks to send packages in a few days across the county. Damn travesty

I don’t know, it’s nothing USPS really “did”, the random number generator just recycled a recent tracking number is all. If each of my feedback is a transaction (add about 50 for people who left none), I’ve only seen it a few times including all of the other purchasing that happens online. I’d say it’s not as common as it seems, maybe play those number in the lotto this week?!

Sometimes they put the wrong tracking info in the email, too.
This happened to me. I freaked out when it said "delivered" to a town 2000 miles from me.

The store apologized, gave me the correct number.

I agree about prices. Like everything, inflation has been rough, but a small flat rate package is quite pricy, especially with insurance. It would be as much of an issue if there wasn't the frequent problem of stolen and damaged packages, as well as frequent logistical errors. I live one town over from the regional processing hub. All the time, the hub will send it to my local PO, then it gets sent back to the hub. This happens several times until it finally gets delivered.

USPS is not the only culprit though. I've had quite a few issues with FedEx too. Last summer they were delivering ammo to me, and for whatever reason they had to relabely package, and in the process swapped labels with someone else's package. So instead of $350 in ammo I got a $35 auto part. Rather than investigating, they wrote it off, and had the vendor ship a whole new order to me. I, cunningly, was able to track down the guy who got my package (about a 40 minute drive) and we swapped so I ended up with a extra package of ammo.

More like $11, couple years ago it was like $7, which is still a lot to ship a 5oz piece of metal, when you can send a 1oz envelope for 50¢
That would be like if stamps went up to $3.. Does that seem reasonable too? It’s only 3 bucks, right???
